Key Principles of Fair Trade

  • Fair prices for agricultural products.
  • Safe working conditions.
  • Facilitate organic certification.
  • Promote environmentally sustainable farming.
  • Human rights, gender equality, and ending child labor.
  • Provide opportunity to the economically disadvantaged.
  • Transparency from farm to market.

Fair Trade Certified™ Sources

Liz Lovely supports TransFairUSA and the Fair Trade Certified™ program by purchasing Fair Trade Certified ingredients when possible. This program focuses on products from developing nations like coffee, chocolate, and bananas. Due to limitations in both the diversity of suppliers and the availability of ingredients, this is not always possible.

Fairly Traded Sources

Liz Lovely also purchases ingredients grown/produced both in the U.S. and abroad that we consider "fairly traded". We screen our suppliers to the best of our ability based on the key fair trade principles above.
